What is Padparadscha?

The Padparadscha sapphire is known for its beautiful color tones and rarity. This gemstone is a scarce type of corundum that is a sapphire. The gorgeous pinkish orange color tone gives off a glowing effect on it's wearer. Many people say it looks like the color of the sunset, but some have confused this gemstone with pink or peach sapphires, which are also different types of corundum stones that exist today in nature.

What is Padparadscha Sapphire?

The history of the padparadscha sapphire dates as far back as 100 years ago when it was discovered in Sri Lanka. These are rare gems whose color is highly sought after by connoisseurs and jewelers alike. The name "padparadscha" translates from Sanskrit to mean "lotus blossom."

Padparadschas have a unique pinkish-orange hue that has inspired many artists over time. They often appear similar to rose quartz with an ivory white background and reddish pink tones mixed throughout, ranging from very light to deep hues depending on the particular stone you buy or wear on your finger!

These stones are mined only in Sri Lanka (formerly called Ceylon) and Madagascar today because they're so hard to find elsewhere around the world; however, they were first discovered centuries ago by British explorers traveling through South Asia during this period!

Some people have confused padparadscha sapphire with pink sapphire or peach sapphire, but they are indeed different

When you look at a padparadscha sapphire, it is easy to think that you are looking at a pink sapphire. However, they are not the same thing.

Padparadscha sapphires are corundum (ruby and sapphire) stones that have an apparent color change from deep orange-red to pinkish orange when viewed in different light conditions. They also have a translucent body and a distinct 'oily' or 'silky' texture. These unique characteristics make them rare and valuable gemstones.

Padparadscha is the rarest sapphires in the world and is one of the most valuable gemstones on earth. They are also known for their beautiful color tones and calming effect on their wearer. These gemstones have been around since ancient times.
